I made this film back in 2014, after my crew and I hung around New York's Washington Square Park one weekend offering passersby a chance to write a love letter to whoever they wanted. We gave them a pen, a sheet of paper that already said "I Love You" on it, and an envelope with a stamp. More than 100 people took us up on our offer, and more than 60 of those people let us film them reading the letter they wrote. That's all this movie is: real people reading real love letters they weren't expecting to write. It's a tear jerker.
